A brief history:

Thomas D. Ruthven has been active in mortgage banking since 1962. With 37 years of experience, Tom knows what investors want, what their 'hot buttons' are and how to get a loan approved and closed.  Excellence'n'Mortgages is the fourth mortgage banking business Tom has started, having sold each company to various banking institutions.

Tom most recently was the CEO of Power Funding Group. Other positions held include VP of Goldome Realty Credit Corporation and Marine Midland Realty Credit Corp., Senior VP and Mortgage Officer of the Troy Savings Bank, as well as, President of Empire State Thrift Service Corp., TDR & Assoc., Inc., CNY Securities and BSB Home Funding Corp.  

His philosophy is simple... fit the mortgage to both the needs and goals of the business. His dedication to clients, professional approach and attention to detail contribute greatly to his success in customer satisfaction.
